COVID-19 Information for visitors
In line with the current lifting of restrictions, the museum will be re-opening on Saturday June 6th. The safety of visitors and our volunteers is our number one concern and procedures will be in place to mitigate any risk from the virus. These will include regular cleaning of surfaces, social distancing, personal hygiene, and limitations on some exhibits.
Orion update – March 25
The Orion P3 is now ready for transport, following removal of the wings. A fantastic job by the team led by Ron and Rod, reaching the halfway point in moving the aircraft from the Lismore Aerodrome to the museum.
You can follow the Orion’s progress on the projects page.
Fly-In 2020 – a mixed bag
The Great Eastern Fly-In for 2020 was a mixed bag for us. As the crew were setting up on the Friday it was already evident that many of the general fliers and display aircraft were staying away due to the adverse weather reports. On the Saturday it was dry and overcast, not many aircraft, but a steady stream of people into the hangar with the shop doing a good trade.
The evening saw things deteriorate, with strong gusting winds which lingered on to Sunday. Flying displays were cancelled and visitor numbers were well down. Those that did visit got the benefit of personal attention due to the high ‘crew to public ratio’.

New website address
We have changed our website address (URL) to ehham.org.au, which is short for Evans Head Heritage Aviation Museum. This will be much easier to remember and type compared to the old address.
If you navigate to the old address, you will be automatically re-directed to the new one. In any case, if you have us bookmarked, please change it to the new one.
