Group tours
Special tours can be organised for weekdays other than Tuesdays by prior arrangement (minimum of 20 persons) or on weekends/Tuesdays (no minimum required).

Our guides conduct tours on weekends and there is no need to book.

$20. No booking required.
F-111 Cockpit Experience
$50. Cockpit Experiences are available after 12PM on Saturdays/Sundays and 9:30AM on Tuesdays. These take approximately 35 – 45 minutes.
Last cockpit experience booking time on a Tuesday is 11 AM and 3PM on weekends.

F111 Cockpit Photo – $20
You can have your photo taken sitting in the cockpit of the F-111. This is available during weekend opening times and Tuesday mornings. Bookings are not required.
F111 Cockpit Experience – $50
Receive a full guided tour of the cockpit where we will take you through a brief mission including how you would start the jet, get airborne and set the controls. This takes about 45 minutes. Advance bookings are required.

Car
The museum is located right at the Evans Head Aerodrome. It is the large silver hanger, the first building you will see as you come to the end of Memorial Airport Drive.
If you are coming from the south on the Pacific Motorway (M1), at the South Woodburn interchange, take the Woodburn exit left, through the roundabout, go into the town and turn right past the Post Office into Alfred Street. Travel about 10km to the first roundabout coming into Evans Head, turn left into Currajong Street, then left into Memorial Airport Drive. Currajong street has a F 111Museum sign at each end.
From the west (Lismore or Casino), cross the Richmond River or Rocky Mouth Creek at Woodburn, turn left, then right after the Post Office and follow the same route as above.
Coming from the north on the Pacific Motorway (M1), at the Broadwater interchange, take the Evans Head / Broadwater exit ramp left. Go into the roundabout and onto the Evans Head road. Coming into the town, turn right at Currajong Street (roundabout) then right into Memorial Airport Drive.
Public Transport
Buses run to Evans Head from Casino, Lismore and Ballina, but only on weekdays.
