How to get involved

Membership – $5.50 per year.

We invite you to become a member and play a vital role in preserving and celebrating a significant chapter of Australian aviation history. Membership helps us achieve the museum’s objectives and fosters a sense of community among those who share a passion for aviation heritage.

As a financial member, you’ll have voting rights at general meetings, giving you a voice in shaping the future of the association and its initiatives.

Membership is renewed annually, running from 1 July to 30 June. For 2024, the annual membership fee is just $5.50, offering an affordable way to connect with this valued part of Australia’s history while supporting its preservation for future generations.

Volunteering

The museum thrives thanks to the dedication of volunteers who help preserve and display the collection, maintain the facilities, and share the stories of aviation history with visitors through tours and interpretive guidance.

If you have a passion for aviation, an interest in its history, or valuable skills—whether technical or communicative—we’d love to have you join our team. Volunteering is a rewarding way to contribute to this important part of Australia’s heritage.

Our museum is powered by the passion of volunteers, but bringing aviation history to life on the North Coast requires financial support. Public donations, alongside grants, are vital to preserving our existing exhibits and acquiring new, exciting additions to our collection.

Heritage Aviation Material

We’re always eager to expand our collection with items that help preserve and share the legacy of aviation history. In particular, we welcome donations tied to the wartime heritage of the Evans Head base and its subsequent story. Items of general aviation interest, such as aircraft components, systems, or historical literature, are also highly valued.
